Despite proclaiming Master of Fate as the last big update for Lords of the Fallen, Hexworks has released Clash of Champions. It adds the Crucible and Echoes of Battle, the former providing several trials where players battle several bosses in a row. Check out the launch trailer below.
Playable solo and in co-op, Crucible offers six trials – clearing each without dying unlocks new tincts for armor, Shrine Currency and Umbral Scourings. They range from Crucible of Faith, where players battle three bosses, to Crucible of the Lords, which features 12 encounters. The more challenging Crucibles offer better rewards, though each has different unlock requirements, from beating the boss in the base to unlocking a specific ending.
As for Echoes of Battle, it provides the opportunity to rematch against any defeated bosses. Ideal for practice before challenging the Crucible, though this is also ideal for reliving any favored boss fights.
Lords of the Fallen is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC (while also playable on Game Pass). Check out our review of the base game here.
